The 1869 Pictorials were printed by the National Bank Note Company. They were unpopular and were in use for only about a year, being replaced by the first Bank Note issues.

The 1875 Special Printings
The 1875, these stamps were reprinted to provide examples of every U.S. stamp issued thus far for an exhibit in the 1876 Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia. The reprints were available for sale to the general public and were valid for postage.
