Cuba (1902-1910)

After the initial overprints of the 1898 First Bureau issues, the U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing and the American Bank Note Company prepared stamps for the Cuban post office under U.S. Military administration. Scott Catalog numbering for Cuba is continuous from Spanish colonial issues through U.S. overprints to BEP and ABNC printings to issues of independent and modern Cuba.

Special Delivery issues

Cuba Scott E2P var, proof plate number 908. This plate was not used, as the misspelling of INMEDIATA (as "IMMEDIATE") was noticed during the audit/approval process and new plate 1432 was prepared with the correct spelling. In addition, the proof was not printed in the correct color.

Cuba Scott E2P, proof plate number 1432 in the correct color. This plate replaced plate 908 with the correct spelling of INMEDIATA.
