Soviet Military Government issues

The Soviet Union issued military stamps denominated in pfennigs for use in the Eastern Zone / Russian Zone / Soviet Zone. They were replaced by stamps of East Germany / German Democratic Republic.

The stamps are not known with plate numbers. These examples show the counting numbers that were printed at the bottoms of the rows. Some examples are perforated, others imperforate. There are two types of wavy line watermarks visible in the selvage, either "stairs going up" or "stairs going down."
