Semipostal Stamps
The U.S. was a latecomer to the concept of issuing semipostal stamps. Sales of these stamps have raised millions for their designated charities. The Breast Cancer Awareness stamp is by far the most popular, requiring several reprintings by various printers since it was first issued in 1998.
