There are no known plate number examples of the 4¢ imperforate, Scott 314A. The entire printing of 10,000 stamps, in the brown shade, was processed into coils with private Schermack Type III perforations, and then used on several large mailings from Detroit in 1908. Philatelic author and researcher Ken Lawrence noted that a used horizontal paste-up pair with plate number 4255 underneath was reported in the early 20th Century, but it is not among the 64 known examples in the current Scott 314A census. No photo of it is known. If it exists, it was last seen sometime before 1943.
