Actually, it was shifted up and to the right about 1/4 inch, so the "Richard Nixon" text appears at the bottom of the stamp immediately above it. The engraved red plate number 1, which should follow the yellow plate number 1, can be seen immediately below the 32¢ denomination. The other stamps in the bottom row have no engraved red at all.

Scott 2955a, 32¢ Nixon error, engraved red (text) omitted. In this example, not only is the "Richard Nixon" text missing, but the engraved red plate number 1 is shifted up and to the right nearly 1/2 inch. It can be seen in the selvage to the right of the "USA".
